Manchester United Under-21 boss Travis Binnion is urging caution around young forward Shea Lacey.

The 18-year-old England youth international has been blighted by injuries which have prevented him making the progress many expected.

He came on as a substitute in Sunday's Premier League 2 encounter with Manchester City at Leigh and set up Amir Ibragimov for the winner in a 2-1 victory.

"Everybody in the world knows about Shea Lacey," said Binnion.

"He needs to be patient with himself and everyone else needs to be patient with him because there is still loads to come tactically, physically and mentally.

"We are still managing him physically. If he can stay on the pitch and stay training, everyone thinks he could be a top player."
