Huddersfield Town have signed Preston North End defender Jack Whatmough for an undisclosed fee on a two-year contract.

The 28-year-old started his career with Portsmouth and won the League One title with Wigan in 2021-22.

"Having now spent a number of years playing at Championship level, he shares our ambition of returning to that standard," boss Lee Grant told the club website., external

"His experience of playing significant roles in promotion-winning sides is a real positive for us in what is a relatively young group by design."
