Bradford striker Cook out for season

Andy Cook scored 15 goals in 29 appearances in all competitions for Bradford this season

Bradford City striker Andy Cook has been ruled out for the rest of the season with an anterior cruciate ligament injury.

The 34-year-old suffered the injury in City's 2-2 draw at Cook's former side Barrow on New Year's Day.

The veteran has scored 77 goals in 169 league games for the Bantams since initially joining them on loan from Mansfield in January 2021.

"Everyone at Bradford City wishes Andy a speedy recovery and we look forward to welcoming him back to the action as soon as possible," the club said in a statement.
