Torquay United have signed Exeter City striker Kieran Wilson on loan.

The 18-year-old will stay at the National League South side until 12 January and arrives as the Gulls battle a host of injuries.

Wilson signed his first professional deal with Exeter this summer and has made nine substitute appearances in League One and played in a further four cup matches.

"He's an aggressive forward that can play anywhere across the forward line," Torquay manager Paul Wotton told the club website.

"He's a willing runner and he has good honesty. I'm looking forward to working with him.

"We desperately need bodies in and I'm very grateful to Exeter for helping us get the deal done."

Exeter City manager Gary Caldwell added: "We need to get him games to continue his development.

"He did really well in the summer and pre-season and took that well into the early part of the season - and as with all young players they are going to have moments where they dip a little bit.

"I feel he's coming out of that now and it's a really good time for him to go and show his undoubted quality."
