Wycombe Wanderers have signed Tottenham Hotspur midfielder George Abbott on a season-long loan.

The 19-year-old spent the 2024-25 campaign on loan at League club Two Notts County where he made 40 league appearances and scored five goals, including the EFL goal of the season against Accrington Stanley in January.

Abbott, who can play in defence or midfield, joined Spurs at the age of seven and has three caps for England Under-18s.

Wycombe head coach Mike Dodds told the club's website, external: "George is a really exciting player in the middle of the park and we're delighted that he's made the decision to come here over other clubs to continue his progress in his career."

Wycombe's director of football Tom Stockwell added: "Comfortable as a 6 receiving from the defence or higher up the pitch as a running number 8, George gives us another option in the strong midfield group we already have here at the club."

Wycombe began their 2025-26 League One campaign with a defeat at Bradford City.

They return to action at home against Stockport County on Saturday, in a match-up between last season's losing play-off semi-finalists.
