Cambridge United have signed goalkeeper Jake Eastwood following his release from Grimsby Town.
Eastwood, 28, came through the academy at Sheffield United and made his first two appearances in the EFL Cup in August 2017.
His only league game came in the Championship six months later.
During his seven seasons with the Blades, Eastwood had loan spells with several clubs including Chesterfield, Scunthorpe United, Rochdale and Grimsby Town, who he joined permanently in July 2023.
Eastwood is the U's fifth new signing of the summer and immediately fills the gap left by Marko Marosi's departure to Port Vale - he has agreed a one-year deal.
"He is real Cambridge United goalkeeper – no nonsense, off his line and extremely aggressive and confident," boss Neil Harris said., external
"I have receive some really good references on him and he came in for a couple of days and was exceptional. I look forward to working with him over the coming season."
