We asked you who should don the skipper's armband for Norwich City should club captain Kenny McLean be injury-stricken.

Does Manning elect a young but vocal Jacob Wright? Go for a new voice in Harry Darling? Would captaincy entice Josh Sargent to stay?

Here's who got your vote:

Gary: Jacob Wright certainly seems to have the pedigree to lead the team. He has quality and intelligence beyond his years. Will be nice to give him the opportunity and think it will improve him quicker.

Ian: Sarge, Wright or Darling for me. I can't imagine McLean will be playing much next season as we are set to purchase a defensive midfielder.

Paul: McLean is a huge part of the problem of recent years. He should not be captain on returning. Harry Darling has the experience and Wright has the potential.

Stephen: Jacob Wright should be captain, or possibly Darling. In my opinion, Wright should stay captain even when Kenny returns because he [McLean] was a big part of why Norwich underachieved last season. We should sell Kenny and get in a new CDM who's actually good in that position.

Chris: Some good signings, looking forward to this new season. The captain's role should go to Jacob Wright.

Matthew: Wright seemed to be captain vs Volendam a few days ago, but I sense Duffy is the likely candidate while McLean is out, given his age and experience.

Neil: From what I have seen from training and match videos it would be Harry Darling for me. He was barking orders and dishing out rollickings on a regular basis. Seems a natural leader and figure of authority.

George: I would definitely back Jacob Wright to have the armband. Despite only being at the club for half a season, he already seems like someone the squad respects and it feels like he has been here years. Assuming Sargent leaves, the only other alternatives are Jack Stacey or Emi Marcondes.

Tony: I said last season that I could see Jacob Wright as a potential captain... and I stand by that.

Eliot: Looking like next captain could be Jacob Wright. Mature beyond his years and looking like a real leader. Otherwise, maybe Harry Darling. Kenny McLean to carry on as club captain.

Simon: I don't see Sargent staying, however I'd be delighted if this encouraged him to stay yellow and green.

Dave: Seems like Jacob Wright will - he's young but he's clearly a leader and someone they are building the team around.
