Shrewsbury Town have made their second signing of the week after agreeing a one-year deal with former Portsmouth winger Anthony Scully.
The 26-year-old moves on a free transfer after being released by Pompey earlier this summer.
Scully spent last season on loan at Colchester where he made 18 appearances spread across two spells and his move to Salop reunites him with Town head coach Michael Appleton, who he played under at Lincoln City.
The former West Ham youth player joined the Imps in February 2020 and was a regular during his two-and-a-half years there, scoring 31 goals in 98 appearances.
But since leaving Lincoln for Wigan, then in the Championship, in September 2022, his opportunities have dried up.
He made five appearances in his season with the Latics and only nine in two years with Portsmouth.

Scully is Shrewsbury's seventh signing ahead of the new League Two season following the arrivals of goalkeeper Elyh Harrison, defenders Tom Anderson, Sam Stubbs and Will Boyle along with Tom Sang and midfielder Sam Clucas.
Director of football Micky Moore said Scully would bring "something different" to Appleton's squad.
"Michael and Anthony go back many years and they had a very successful time working together before," Moore said.
"I'm really happy we got this over the line before the season starts because we believe he offers something different to what we've got in the squad.
"He's someone we've targeted for a while and I know Michael and Anthony have been in touch for a few weeks already.
"We're thrilled to have him and we're excited to see what he does over the coming season."
