Sheffield United sign Chelsea midfielder Matos

Alex Matos made two senior appearances for Chelsea under Mauricio Pochettino in 2023-24

Sheffield United have signed midfielder Alex Matos from Chelsea for an undisclosed fee.

The 20-year-old has signed a three-year deal at Bramall Lane.

Matos made two senior appearances for the Blues and spent the second half of the 2023-24 season on loan at Huddersfield Town, scoring one goal.

He then made 21 appearances in another loan spell at Oxford United last season, with 20 of those coming in the Championship.
