South Korean club Gwangju FC say forward Eom Ji-Sung is to join Swansea City.
Eom has emerged as one of Swansea’s primary summer targets and his current club have announced on their website that a transfer has been agreed.
The 22-year-old has spent four seasons playing senior football at Gwangju, who are in the South Korean top flight.
At Swansea, he is thought likely to be used either as a wide player or as a central attacking midfielder.
Eom, who has one senior South Korea cap, could arrive in Wales this week to complete his move to the Championship club, where he looks set to become their first signing of the close season.
Swansea head coach Luke Williams told BBC Sport Wales in June that the they were looking at players all over the planet in their bid to compete with sides boasting much greater financial power in the English second tier.
