Guernsey FC's relegation troubles were worsened on Sunday after they were thrashed 5-1 at home by Rayners Lane.
The Green Lions are 19th in the Isthmian South Central Division, occupying the final relegation place, with this latest defeat their 15th of the season.
The home side's afternoon was ruined mainly by former Brentford academy player Remy Bennison.
The winger provided the first two goals for Rayners Lane in almost identical fashion after just half an hour, fizzing in two low crosses for Franck Keita and DeShane Dalling to tap in.
Lane forward Keita then made the most of a Dave Merris slip to grab his second before Dalling received another delightful ball from Bennison to make it 4-0 after just 42 minutes.
Ross Allen then won a penalty for the hosts with the veteran striker deemed to be fouled inside the box and converted from the spot to pull one back for the Channel Islands club.
Guernsey started much more positive in the second half with Sam Murray blazing over a shot and Charlton Gauvain denied twice by the visitors' keeper Endurance Johnson.
It was all in vain though as Rayners Lane scored the final goal of the game.
Ex-Bromley and Boreham Wood forward Elliott Buchanan scored from another Lane pull-back on the left wing following an advantage to consign Guernsey another miserable afternoon.
Guernsey will have a chance to make up for the defeat at Footes Lane when they host Horndean on Wednesday.
