Northampton Town have signed Tyrese Fornah on a three-year deal after the midfielder left Championship club Derby County at the end of the season.
The 25-year-old Sierra Leone international featured 24 times for the Rams in two years with them, but his final appearance for the East Midlands club came in August 2024.
He had helped the club to automatic promotion from League One in his first season at Pride Park, then spent most of last season on loan in League Two with Salford City.
Fornah, who made his professional debut at Nottingham Forest after spending time as a youth player at Brighton, has also had previous stints at Plymouth Argyle, Shrewsbury Town and Reading.
"He can play as a defensive midfielder but he can also play further up as well and help get us up the pitch and drive us forward," Northampton boss Kevin Nolan told the club website., external
"He travels well and carries the ball well and they are great attributes to have."
