New league for Guernsey FC rules out Jersey derby

Guernsey FC will be eligible for the FA Vase next season after their relegation

There will be no Channel Island derby next season after Guernsey FC were relegated to the Southern Combination Premier Division.
The Green Lions, who finished fourth-from-bottom of Isthmian League South Central, have been kept apart from neighbours Jersey Bulls.
Should the Bulls fail to win promotion from their league's play-offs they will remain in the Combined Counties Premier South.
If that happens the two sides would only be able to meet if they were drawn together in the FA Vase.
Guernsey started their time in the English football non-league system in 2011 in the Combined Counties League - winning successive promotions to move up to the eighth-tier Isthmian League in 2013.
The Southern Combination neighbours the Combined Counties League and covers East Sussex, West Sussex, Surrey and parts of south west London.
Should Jersey Bulls win promotion they would play in Isthmian League Division One South East which covers clubs based mainly in Kent, Sussex and south London.
