Montague 'will help us a huge amount' - Williams

Swansea say Richard Montague was the "outstanding candidate" in their search for Paul Watson's replacement

Luke Williams believes Richard Montague's arrival as director of football will be a major boost for Swansea City.
Montague is leaving Notts County to take up his new role at Swansea next week.
He will fill the vacancy which has been open since Paul Watson's spell as Swansea's sporting director came to an end last October.
Williams, who worked with Montague at Notts County, says he is "really pleased" by the prospect of a reunion.
"He is someone with really good experience, he is really bright, ambitious and very knowledgeable," Swansea's head coach said.
Montague joined Notts County as executive director in 2019, with Williams joining him at Meadow Lane in 2022.
The Magpies were promoted from the National League in 2023 and have since established themselves in League Two, where they currently sit second.
"He has been involved in building squads that have been really successful," Williams added.

"He knows football inside out. He has incredible knowledge of players, he understands what good looks like and he has many contacts, so he is highly skilled.
"I think he is going to help us a huge amount."
Swansea say Montague will be responsible for all their football operations, as well as "supporting the club's recruitment strategy".
The Championship club have been heavily criticised for their transfer work in recent years, with the recent window proving to be another major disappointment.
Montague began his career with analysis and data company Football Radar in 2011 before being given his first club role at Notts County.
Though Williams knows Montague well, he said it was Swansea's decision – rather than his – to bring him to Wales.
"I wasn't involved at all in the interview process, far from it," he said.
"Richard applied for the job. I imagine one of the reasons he applied was because he has worked with me before.
"I am sure in some way it's not a complete coincidence, but I wasn't involved in the interview process or selecting him."
