Doncaster Rovers have bolstered their squad with the loan signing of forward Toyosi Olusanya from MLS side Houston Dynamo.

Olusanya, 27, was in the stands to watch Doncaster beat Rotherham United 1-0 before completing his temporary move which his parent club confirmed will run until 6 January., external

"I spoke to the manager and got a good connection from him straight away with the plans he has for the team, what he saw me doing and how he saw me playing," Olusanya told Doncaster's website.

"I spoke to my agent and my wife and I thought it was the best decision for myself to come down here and get playing."

Olusanya started his senior career at AFC Wimbledon before dropping into non-league football and then earning a move back to the EFL with Middlesbrough.

A spell in Scotland with Premiership side St Mirren followed where Olusanya scored 19 goals in his 80 appearances across his final two seasons, form that earned him his move to the United States in April.
