Aston Villa agree £5m Disasi loan

Aston Villa have agreed a £5m fee to sign defender Axel Disasi on loan from Chelsea.

The 26-year-old briefly looked bound for Tottenham but he is understood to have preferred a move to the Midlands club.

There has been no option to buy included in the deal so any fee to make the move permanent in the summer will have to be negotiated at a later date.

It leaves the north Londoners looking for alternative defensive options before the transfer deadline.
