Bournemouth sign Akinmboni from AC United

Bournemouth have signed centre-back Matai Akinmboni from DC United.
Sources with an understanding of the deal have told the BBC the fee is 1m euros (£810,000), with additional payments should certain clauses be met.
Akinmboni, 18, became one of the youngest debutants in Major League Soccer history for DC United in September 2022 at 15 years and 328 days and went on to make 17 appearances.
He has also represented the United States at youth level.
Bournemouth technical director Simon Francis said: "He is an exciting young player we have been monitoring for an extended period and have been impressed by his progress.
"Matai is a player we believe has a very bright future and we are looking forward to seeing him develop with us."
It is the Cherries first signing of the January transfer window.
