Gudmundsson leaves Burnley for Saudi Pro League

Winger Johann Berg Gudmundsson has left Burnley to join Saudi Pro League side Al-Orobah for an undisclosed fee.
The 33-year-old Iceland international spent eight seasons at Turf Moor, playing 228 games, and helping the Clarets to promotion to the Premier League under Vincent Kompany in 2022-23.
Gudmundsson, previously with AZ Alkmaar and Charlton Athletic, also represented his country at the 2016 European Championships and 2018 World Cup.
It was announced in May that Gudmundsson would leave Burnley at the end of his contract this summer, but a chance meeting with club chairman Alan Pace led to a change of heart.
Gudmundsson was given a fresh one-year contract and played and scored in the 5-0 win over Cardiff City last weekend, his 200th league game for the club.
Al-Orobah also announced the signing of midfielder Jean Michael Seri from Burnley's Championship rivals Hull City earlier on Friday.
