Wycombe Wanderers have signed midfielder Tyreeq Bakinson on a free transfer following his departure from Sheffield Wednesday.

The 25-year-old scored once in 10 appearances for the Owls last season, having helped them win promotion in 2022-23, before joining Charlton on loan in January.

He played 15 games for the Addicks, the last of them a 1-0 defeat at Wycombe in April.

"He’s a player with a lot of ability on the ball but his size and presence in the middle of the park will really complement the talents we’ve already got in that area," said Chairboys boss Matt Bloomfield.

Wycombe have now made three signings since finishing 10th in League One last season.

Details of Bakinson's contract with the club have not been disclosed.
