West Bromwich Albion midfielder Okay Yokuslu has joined Turkish Super Lig side Trabzonspor for an undisclosed fee.

The 30-year-old, who initially joined the Baggies on loan from Spanish side Celta Vigo during the second half of their 2020-21 campaign and returned on a permanent basis in July 2022, featured in all but three of the Championship club's matches last season.

The last of his five goals in 105 appearances came in a 4-1 win at Huddersfield Town in March.

In a social media message, Yokuslu called West Brom's players his "brothers" and manager Carlos Corberan "fantastic", praising the Spaniard's coaching team and the club's staff.

"I loved every second," he added. "It’s been an absolute pleasure. I will be supporting you from afar. Love you all, Baggies."

The winner of Albion's 2022-23 Players’ Player of the Year award spent three seasons at Trabzonspor between 2015 and 2018.
