Blackpool sign Southampton forward Ballard on loan

Dom Ballard spent last season on loan at Reading

Blackpool have signed forward Dom Ballard from Southampton on a season-long loan.

The England Under-19 international spent last season on loan at Reading and scored five goals in 12 matches before a serious knee injury ruled him out for the rest of the campaign in November.

"It’s a real honour to be here and I can’t wait to get started," the 19-year-old told Blackpool's club website.

Ballard, who has made four appearances off the bench for Saints' first team, has scored four goals in eight appearances for England Under-19s.
