Barrow midfielder Newby signs new two-year deal

Elliot Newby has scored three goals in 115 games in his second spell at Barrow

Elliot Newby has signed a new two-year contract to stay at Barrow until the summer of 2027.

The 29-year-old midfielder has played 115 games for his hometown club since he returned for a second spell in January 2023.

"He's been fantastic since I've been here, on and off the pitch," said head coach Andy Whing.

"Being a lad from Barrow, he gets what it takes to play for the club, so I'm really looking forward to working with him again next season."
