Guernsey FC Women moved up to third place in Southern Region Women's Football League Division One South after a 3-0 win at Shaftesbury.

The Green Lionesses, who are unbeaten after two wins and two draws this season, were strong throughout but did not break the deadlock until the second half.

Calleigh Hedley's 50th-minute strike put the islanders ahead as she netted her 11th goal of the season.

Five minutes later, Scarlett Kenneally made it 2-0 before Hedley missed a penalty soon after.

But substitute Ruby Smith scored her first goal for the club with two minutes to go to seal the win.

The islanders are two points behind leaders Bournemouth Sports and one adrift of second-placed AFC Stoneham - who they face on Sunday.
