Janoi Donacien made seven appearances for Chesterfield last season

Chesterfield have re-signed former Ipswich defender Janoi Donacien on a contract until the end of the season.

The 31-year-old joined the Spireites in January on a short-term deal until the end of 2024-25, but after making eight appearances suffered a season-ending hamstring injury in March.

He returned to the League Two club in the summer to complete his rehabilitation.

"I'm delighted to have signed my new contact and I'm thankful to the club for their faith in me," he told the club website.
