Greenwood and Sancho uncertainty as Man Utd return to training

The Euros may be grabbing plenty of attention but the Premier League is starting to ramp up, with teams returning for pre-season training.
Manchester United are back on Monday which raises inevitable question marks over the presence of Mason Greenwood and Jadon Sancho in particular.
Greenwood is not expected to be present as discussions over a move continue. He spent last season on loan at Getafe after serious criminal charges against him were dropped.
That move came after former United chief executive Richard Arnold reversed an intended decision to reintegrate Greenwood into Erik ten Hag’s squad.
However, with United committed to selling Greenwood and bids having been received from Marseille and Lazio, it is understood the focus remains on sorting out a permanent move away from Old Trafford.
The same situation also applied to midfielder Donny van de Beek, who is close to joining Girona.
Sancho has not trained with the first team at United since September 2023, when he refused to apologise for the inflammatory social media post criticising manager Ten Hag.
In addition, it was not totally clear whether Casemiro refused to go on the bench after being dropped for the FA Cup final in May. He certainly made a swift exit from the post-match celebrations.
The Brazilian was left out of his country's Copa America squad.
And there may also be a return to the club for Ruud van Nistelrooy, who was just awaiting a work permit to join Ten Hag's coaching team.
