Guernsey FC slipped back into the Isthmian League South Central relegation places after a 5-0 loss at fellow strugglers Ashford Town.

The Kent side needed just four minutes to go in front when Sam Humphreys curled into the top corner.

Scott Day made it 2-0 from close range eight minutes later while Seb Sheppard produced a fine save from Humphreys shortly before the break.

Charlton Gauvain's own goal two minutes into the second half ended any hopes of a comeback before George Vorster got the fourth just after the hour.

Guernsey's Ross Allen had a 75th-minute goal disallowed for offside while Sam Murray headed wide 10 minutes later for the islanders.

But Jayden Porter Atkinson got a fifth for the hosts in the second minute of stoppage time.

The loss sees Guernsey drop back into the bottom four on goal difference with 21 points.

Ashford join them on the same number of points from three more games but are below them on goal difference.
