Burton Albion have moved to reward key personnel who helped preserve their League One status by offering new deals to seven out-of-contract players.

The Brewers secured their third-tier survival after a win against Cambridge United and a draw with Wigan in the closing weeks of the season.

Those crucial four points ensured manager Gary Bowyer's side could not be caught despite a final-day defeat at Charlton.

Now goalkeeper Max Crocombe, defender Ryan Sweeney, forward Jón Dadi Bödvarsson and key midfielder Kegs Chauke are all in negotiations over new terms.

Defender Finn Delp, Fabio Tavares and Kamil Dudek have also been offered deals.

Meanwhile, development players Josh Taroni and Jack Newall have been promoted to the first-team squad.

And six players have been released with Anthony Forde, Mason Bennett, Jack Stretton, Cameron Gilbert, Toby Oakes and Dylan Scott all parting company with the club.
