Callum Lang is likely to miss the rest of the season because of a hamstring injury

Callum Lang was one of the few bright spots in a disappointing first half of the season.

Pompey are better equipped to cope with his absence now than they would have been before the January window but this is still a massive blow.

He's the top scorer with twice as many league goals as anyone else and his relentless energy has been crucial in Pompey's successful pressing of teams.

Adil Aouchiche is now likely to get an opportunity to start at 10.

In five days Pompey picked up two priceless wins but also lost Conor Shaughnessy and Callum Lang to hamstring injuries.

They are in a good position to avoid relegation but really can't afford to lose any more key players.
