  3. 'It's something special to see'published at 21:55 British Summer Time 1 July

India captain Harmanpreet Kaur: "It was a good win for us. It's something special to see.

"We stay positive, see how many runs we can put on the board and see how our bowlers can contribute.

"When boundaries weren't coming we can always look for twos, we have very big boundaries here.

"It's a long time before the T20 World Cup. At the moment our main focus is on this series."

  4. 'It's not the end - we can fight back'published at 21:53 British Summer Time 1 July

England captain Nat Sciver-Brunt: "I thought we started off well in the powerplay with three wickets. Every bowler that came on was really focused on that but then they got a big partnership, which we didn't adapt to as quickly as we'd like.

"Some positives, Lauren Bell bowled a brilliant four overs and everyone really stuck to the task and tried to grind it out so the effort was really there."

On whether there have been discussions of changes to the XI: "Not five minutes after the game, no. We have full confidence in our players.

"We'll see how it goes, we needed some partnerships - Tammy [Beaumont] and Amy [Jones] showed the way with that but we needed another one on top of that."

On Beaumont: "She's been in brilliant form in domestic cricket. Being out the middle is being out in the middle but four is slightly different for her. I'm delighted for her to get a score."

On message to the players in the coming days: "That it's not the end, we can really fight back and come back with fresh ideas - and be more clinical in the ones we do want to execute."

  5. 'I'm happy I got to contribute'published at 21:48 British Summer Time 1 July

Player of the match Amanjot Kaur: "I'm feeling quite overwhelmed. I wasn't expecting it to be this way. I'm happy I got to contribute towards the team's win.

"Injuries are part and parcel of the game. I was ready for the comeback - I had no pressure, I just love playing, getting back on the ground.

"It was quite impressive how Rodrigues paced her innings. I think the bowlers bowled very well, it was a decent pitch to bat on."

    India won by 24 runs

It's back-to-back defeats for England under Charlotte Edwards and Nat Sciver-Brunt.

They got off to a great start in Bristol today, picking up three Indian wickets during the powerplay but Jemimah Rodrigues and Amanjot Kaur scored half-centuries as the tourists put 181-4 on the board.

England did not have the best of starts to their batting innings either, as Sophia Dunkley, Danni Wyatt-Hodge and captain Nat Sciver-Brunt all left inside four overs.

Tammy Beaumont bagged a half-ton for England but they kept losing wickets at regular intervals to allow India to take a 2-0 lead in the series.

England beaten by a team who looked hungrier, more efficient, had more purpose and are the clear victors.

Ecclestone run out (Mandhana) 35 (Eng 157-7)

    India 2-0 England.

Sophie Ecclestone is run out in the final ball of the innings and it's another disappointing performance from England against India.

Deepti Sharma has bowled four full tosses tonight - I think three of them have gone for four in that square to mid-wicket region.

  10. Eng 148-6published at 19.3 overs

Eng need 27 to win from 3 balls

Deepti Sharma has not had a game to remember.

She bowls another full toss that is smeared to the boundary behind square.

More runs for England, but hosts will be frustrated by this display.

Fielding can set the tone for where you are as team. India look like they've really worked on their fielding and athleticism.

England can still mathematically win this game.

And Deepti Sharma will bowl the final over for India.

  13. Eng 148-6published at 19 overs

Eng need 34 to win from 6 balls

Shree Charani finishes her spell strongly - just two of the final three deliveries.

And India are on the verge of going 2-0 up in this five-match T20I series.

  14. Eng 146-6published at 18.3 overs

Eng need 36 to win from 9 balls

Shree Charani concedes three runs from the first two balls.

Then Sophie Ecclestone pulls her for a boundary through backward square.

Sophie Ecclestone could really help this side if she could take more responsibility with the bat - stake her claim for that number seven position. We've seen signs, but it's about consistency.

  16. Eng 139-6published at 18 overs

Eng need 43 to win from 12 balls

Sophie Ecclestone continues the late onslaught for England.

Two more boundaries coming off Radha Yadav's over, sending the first ball through backward point and the fifth over deep cover.

That stayed pretty low, so Ecclestone did really well to get as much as she did on it.

  18. Eng 127-6published at 17 overs

Eng need 55 to win from 18 balls

Sophie Ecclestone glances one behind square to the second boundary of Amanjot Kaur's over.

She then takes a single to keep the striker for the 18th over.

So quick to pick up the length from Sophie Ecclestone. She needs lots more of those.
