Llanelli Town have been crowned JD Cymru South champions and are a step closer to a return to the Cymru Premier.

Lee John's side drew 1-0 at Cambrian United on Friday evening while title rivals Trethomas Bluebirds lost 1-0 at Afan Lido.

Llanelli are now waiting to discover whether they have secured an FAW Tier 1 licence for their promotion to be confirmed.

The Stebonheath Park club were Welsh Premier champions in 2008 and have been runners-up three times but last appeared in the top-flight in 2013.
