Leeds 0-0 Newcastle: What Farke said
Farke 'happy' with how competitive Leeds were
- Published
Daniel Farke spoke to BBC Match of the Day after Leeds' draw against Newcastle: "I am happy with our home games. We played one of the best sides in the United Kingdom and we have dominated. It was a pretty competitive game.
"We had the best chance of the game and I am pretty happy with how competitive we were today. This is exactly how a newly promoted side has to approach a game. Rock-solid defending and don't give any chances away."
On Sean Longstaff: "We could feel when he joined us in pre-season that he had full confidence and was in full rhythm. He is a top player and I am delighted with his performance today."
"Today was clear that we are a strong pressing find and we kept the ball under pressure. We showed a good physical performance. It is not like the Championship so playing against bigger sides, you have to adapt to what is needed."
"I want to win every game but out of our fixtures so far, it is a pretty good spot to be in. We want to stay in this league but it is a long road and we have to keep going."
"We want to add more quality up front to be competitive in every game. There are 38 games so we do need more help up front.
