Stoke City have signed left-back Josh Wilson-Esbrand from Manchester City on loan for the rest of the season.

The 22-year-old is reunited with Potters boss Mark Robins, having played 14 games under him at Coventry during a loan spell in 2022-23.

Wilson-Esbrand made his senior debut for Manchester City in a 6-1 League Cup win over Wycombe Wanderers in September 2021 and made two substitute appearances in the Champions League the following season.

"Josh brings all the physical attributes needed to be a real asset at both ends of the pitch," said Stoke sporting director Jon Walters.

"With Championship experience and having previously been part of a successful team under Mark, Josh is well prepared to make a significant impact in a Stoke City shirt."

The former England youth international could make his debut in Saturday's lunchtime kick-off at home to Oxford United, now managed by former Stoke boss Gary Rowett.
