Sheffield United forward Ben Brereton Diaz says he is delighted to be back at Bramall Lane after scoring his first goal since returning to the club.

The 25-year-old Chilean international's 49th minute strike was enough to claim all three points against Derby County on Saturday after returning to the club on loan from Southampton until the end of the season.

"I'm buzzing I'm back here, the fans are amazing," Brereton Diaz told BBC Radio Sheffield.

"I'm playing football and enjoying myself with a smile on my face again."

Brereton Diaz returned to England in the summer after signing for Southampton from La Liga outfit Villarreal, but failed to score in any of his 13 appearances for the Saints before his loan switch in the winter transfer window to the Blades.

"I've been in training for two weeks and the standard is really good," he added.

"Everyone is fighting for their places and I'm really happy to be part of this team again."
