Chesterfield are in discussions with six players over new contracts to remain at the club.

They are John Fleck, Ollie Banks, Ash Palmer, Kyle McFadzean, Ryan Boot and Janoi Donacien, with all bar Donacien starting the second leg of the play-off semi-leg second leg defeat at Walsall.

However, Michael Jacobs, Kane Drummond, Darren Oldaker and Ali Mohiuddin are set to leave the Spireites.

Contract options have been triggered for Ryan Colclough, Vontae Daley-Campbell, Lewis Gordon, Jamie Grimes, Liam Jessop and Ashton Rinaldo.

Chesterfield finished seventh in League Two in their first season back in the English Football League (EFL) following promotion from the National League.
