Oxford sign Nelson on loan from Leicester

Ben Nelson made five league appearances during Leicester's 2023-24 Championship-winning campaign

Oxford United have completed the signing of central defender Ben Nelson on a season-long loan from Leicester City.

Nelson, 20, made his debut for the Foxes against Tranmere Rovers in the Carabao Cup in August 2023 and went on to make a total of eight appearances in all competitions during Leicester's Championship-winning campaign last season.

The England Under-20 international has previous loan experience at Rochdale and Doncaster Rovers.

He is Oxford's 16th signing of the summer transfer window.
