We asked for your views on what is still needed by Leeds United on transfer deadline day.

Here are some of your comments:

Henry: Leeds need at least two creative players who are comfortable on the ball and can pick a pass. We have grafters now but need more quality to unlock tough Premier League defences. Another striker who is not injury prone is also necessary.

Ian: We need a top striker and a great winger to compensate for the loss of Manor Solomon.

Mark: The three games played so far have all, in their different ways, highlighted two things for me. We will need reliable cover in defensive midfield, as there will be injuries and suspensions. And we desperately need a striker with the quality to get us goals from the limited chances you get in the Premier League. Possession is pointless if we don't have the end product.

Gerald: Our biggest issue is not replacing Pablo Hernandez when he left in 2021.. We've not had a creative midfielder anywhere near his ability. And, also signing an out-and-out goalscorer - everyone we sign has a poor goals-to-games ratio and they are normally coming from poorer quality leagues.

Andy: Good window so far but we seem to have bought grafters - we need to buy quality. Hard work and passion won't keep us in this league. Guimaraes ran the midfield on Saturday - absolute class. We need someone similar.

Shaun: Considering we have spent £100m, I would only class three players - Gabriel Gudmundsson, Anton Stach and Sean Longstaff - as capable of being starters. The goalkeeper has yet to impress - his kicking is well below par. Three games and only a penalty scored. We need some imagination in midfield and a proven goalscorer or it's going to be a tough season.

Ian: If Daniel Farke isn't going to give Illan Meslier another chance, then we need a reliable goalkeeper who is proud to wear the shirt - not like Lucas Perri and Karl Darlow. On top of that, we need a number nine of quality and a winger of Solomon's calibre.
