Harrogate sign Halifax midfielder Evans

Harrogate Town have signed Halifax Town midfielder Jack Evans.

The 24-year-old made 65 National League appearances in two seasons with the Shaymen and will join the League Two side as a free agent on 1 July after turning down a new contract with the West Yorkshire club.

Harrogate, who finished 18th in League Two this season, have not disclosed the length of deal the former Blackburn trainee has signed.

Meanwhile, fellow midfielder Levi Sutton, 28, has signed a new one-year contract with Simon Weaver's men after making 34 appearances this season.
