Midfield pair Cameron Brannagan and Tyler Goodrham have signed new "long-term" contracts with Oxford United.

Both players made 51 appearances across all competitions for the U's last season and started in the final of the League One play-offs, where they won promotion to the Championship.

“Last season was so special to achieve success with this group and these fans," Goodrham told the club's website., external

“This was a no-brainer for me as we know where the club is going, and I aspire to help Oxford reach their ambitions in this division.”

Brannagan scored the crucial penalty that booked their spot in the play-off final as they beat Peterborough United in their play-off semi-final last season.

“I’ve been here for what feels like a long time now and I’ve loved every single minute of it," Brannagan told the club website.

“Last season was special, and we want to push on now and do well as it’s a massive year for everyone at the club.

“I love the place and the people of Oxford, and this is home to me now, so there is only one place I want to be and it’s here."

Buckingham's side begin their Championship season on 10 August when they face Norwich City at the Kassam Stadium.
