Milton Keynes Dons have signed centre-back Laurence Maguire from Chesterfield on an undisclosed-length contract.
The 27-year-old younger brother of England defender Harry Maguire arrives in Buckinghamshire on the back of a season on loan with Crawley Town, with whom he won promotion to League One, beating MK 8-1 on aggregate in the semi-finals.
Maguire joins on a free transfer and becomes the Dons' third summer signing after Connor Lemonheigh-Evans and Luke Offord.
He will be joined in League Two by Chesterfield, who also won promotion without him by winning the National League.
The former Chesterfield academy product had been on the Spireites' books since 2014, making the first of his 168 appearances in August 2016, as well as spending a year on loan at AFC Fylde.
"Laurence is a hugely talented defender," Dons head coach Mike Williamson told the club website., external
"As a centre-back, he possesses all the physical qualities you need to succeed at this level. He's also very composed on the ball with a sharp footballing brain."
