Norwich City have signed Czech Republic winger Matej Jurasek from Slavia Prague on a five-and-a-half-year deal for an undisclosed fee.

The 21-year-old, who featured for his country at Euro 2024, scored 17 goals in 91 appearances for Slavia Prague.

He featured for them in both the Champions League and Europa League this season and now moves to the Championship with a Canaries side chasing a play-off spot.

Norwich's sporting director Ben Knapper said the forward, who will be available for Norwich from February, is a player the club has "followed for a considerable time".

"He's an exciting player and a huge talent that we feel is a great fit for us, with a very high ceiling," Knapper told the club website., external

"For a young player, he already has a lot of experience in both domestic, European, and international football."

The deal for Jurasek comes a week after Norwich lost leading scorer Borja Sainz for six weeks after he was suspended for spitting.

The Czech winger says he is excited to develop his game further at Carrow Road.

"I think I will improve myself with the help of the coaches and my team-mates and I hope to make a real contribution to the club," Jurasek said.
