Tranmere Rovers goalkeeper Luke McGee has signed a new two-year deal at the club.

The 29-year-old began his career at Tottenham Hotspur before moving to Portsmouth where he made 55 appearances between 2017 and 2020.

Following a successful three-year stay at Forest Green Rovers, where he helped win the League Two title in 2022, McGee moved to Tranmere in June 2023 and has established himself as the club's number one.

"I'm over the moon to be honest, really happy that we got it sorted so quick," McGee told the club website., external

"The support I've had since I've come here from day one has been phenomenal, so it wasn't a hard decision at all to get things done."

Rovers boss Andy Crosby said: "Luke is an important part of our team. I think his consistency during the season and during his time at the football club has been really good.

"He was pivotal in the 13 games at the end of the season. He produced saves at vital times for us."
