West Bromwich Albion have signed midfielder Tammer Bany from Danish Superliga side Randers FC for a fee in the region of £3.3m.
Bany, 21, who plays as an attacking midfielder in the number 10 role but can also operate as a forward, has signed a three-and-a-half-year contract.
Albion have now made three signings in the January window as Bany's arrival followed Spurs loan striker Will Lankshear and midfielder Isaac Price from Belgian club Standard Liege, for an undisclosed fee.
They were also hopeful of sneaking a late fourth deal over the line before the official Monday 23:00 GMT deadline after a late bid for Southampton's Adam Armstrong. But this is now subject to EFL approval. The paperwork was submitted on time, but no announcement will be made until clearance has been received.
The 27-year-old striker, who has 125 career goals to his name, first played for Albion boss Tony Mowbray in the 2015-16 season on loan from Newcastle United, when he was Coventry City manager. Armstrong then spent three and a half more seasons under Mowbray at Blackburn Rovers before leaving in 2021 for Saints.
But they have lost first-choice goalkeeper Alex Palmer to Ipswich Town, where he will rejoin former Albion team-mate Conor Townsend - and have responded by recalling Josh Griffiths from loan at Bristol Rovers.

Albion also cancelled Uros Racic's loan on Saturday, allowing the Serbian midfielder to return to Serie B club Sassuolo, who have immediately sent him out on loan again to Braga in Portugal.
The Baggies also briefly recalled Caleb Taylor from his loan spell at Wycombe Wanderers, only to then allow him to return to Adams Park for the rest of the season.
They also began the window by confirming that injured defender Paddy McNair would rejoin his parent club San Diego on 1 January, while Lewis Dobbin was recalled by Aston Villa from his season-long loan.
After topping the Championship in September, Albion are still pushing for promotion, but have so far lost two of their first three matches under new boss Tony Mowbray.
