Wrexham manager Phil Parkinson has won the League One manager of the month award for August.

Parkinson's side won three of their four league games in August and drew 0-0 at Bolton Wanderers.

The Dragons remain unbeaten after their opening five games of the season and are top of the table.

Parkinson, who was appointed in July 2021, has led Wrexham to back-to-back promotions which has seen them rise from the National League to English football’s third tier after a 19-year absence.

Dave Challinor (Stockport County), Chris Davies (Birmingham City) and Michael Skubala (Lincoln City) were also nominated for the award
