Aston Villa have signed England international Katie Robinson on a two-year deal following her departure from Brighton.

Robinson, 21, has been a target for Villa for several seasons and became available when her contract expired at Brighton last month.

She scored 10 goals in 68 appearances during her time with the Seagulls and is a player Villa believe has high potential.

Villa boss Manager Robert de Pauw said: "She has pace and knows how to make use of her qualities. She wants to add to her five international caps and wants to make the next step with us.

"Her ambition, to become better, matches ours. I believe she is a player who can be a difference-maker in games, and I very much look forward to what she will bring to Aston Villa Women."

Robinson was the youngest member of Sarina Wiegman’s Lionesses squad who reached the Women’s World Cup final in 2023.

She will be seen as a replacement for Switzerland forward Alisha Lehmann, who left Villa for Juventus this summer.
