Widdrington extends contract as Aldershot Town boss

Aldershot Town manager Tommy Widdrington has signed a new two-year deal with the National League club.
The 53-year-old former Southampton and Grimsby Town player took over as Shots boss April 2023 having previously been manager at King's Lynn Town and director of football at Bristol Rovers.
Assistant manager Hugo Langton and goalkeeping coach David Smalley have also committed to new deals until 2027.
Widdrington led Aldershot to victory in the FA Trophy last season - the club's first trip to Wembley its history.
He took the club to an eighth-placed finish in his first full season in charge before finishing 16th last term.
