Man Utd 2-0 Lyon (agg 4-2)

In comes the free-kick and it's headed wide by Casemiro. It wouldn't have counted as the offside flag was up. Nevertheless a positive start to the half by the home side.

  2. Postpublished at 21:10 British Summer Time 17 April

Chelsea 1-1 Legia Warsaw (agg 4-1)

A slight chance for Legia. Claude Goncalves sends a header towards goal from close range but it's saved by Filip Jorgensen.

It's a much slower-paced second half. Chelsea are taking their time as they knock the ball about.

They've got a three-goal aggregate lead so it's not surprise there's a lack of urgency.

  4. KICK-OFFpublished at 21:08 British Summer Time 17 April

Eintracht Frankfurt 0-1 Tottenham (1-2 agg)

We're back under way in Frankfurt.

A huge 45 minutes ahead for Spurs.

  5. Postpublished at 21:08 British Summer Time 17 April

Man Utd 2-0 Lyon (agg 4-2)

I can only assume Mazraoui took a knock in the first half.

United have started the second half the way they finished the first - on the front foot.

They've won a free-kick within scoring range. Bruno Fernandes is standing over it.

  6. YELLOW CARDpublished at 21:07 British Summer Time 17 April

Chelsea 1-1 Legia Warsaw (agg 4-1)

Benoit Badiashile fouls a Legia player and goes into the book.

In the first half, Dominic Solanke scored as many penalties as he made successful passes for Tottenham (both one).

And that goal has put Spurs 45 minutes away from a semi-final against Bodo/Glimt as they currently lead Lazio 2-1 on aggregate.

  8. KICK-OFFpublished at 21:07 British Summer Time 17 April

Man Utd 2-0 Lyon (agg 4-2)

Back under way at Old Trafford...with Luke Shaw on for Noussair Mazraoui.

Chelsea 1-1 Legia Warsaw (agg 4-1)

Nice idea. Jadon Sanco is in down the right and drills a low ball into the middle.

Cole Palmer flicks it back but it doesn't find Tyrique George.

As it stands, Manchester United are 45 minutes away from a Europa League semi-final with Athletic Bilbao, who lead Rangers 1-0 on aggregate.

But there's still a long way to go.

The teams are on their way back out at Old Trafford.

  14. 'Maddison took one for the team'published at 21:03 British Summer Time 17 April

HT: Eintracht Frankfurt 0-1 Tottenham (1-2 agg)

    Les Ferdinand
Former Tottenham striker on TNT Sports

We said at the start every Tottenham player would have to turn up tonight.

James Maddison took one for the team today. I've seen many people step out of that but he knew, if he got first contact, he'd get clattered.

The goalkeeper absolutely clattered him and I can't believe the referee had to go the the monitor to give that decision.

That was about as good as it could be from Manchester United.

Two goals, chances, a clean sheet for Andre Onana.

Apart from Leny Yoro, all United's players have been excellent.

    That was really good.

  16. Around the groundspublished at 21:01 British Summer Time 17 April

In the other fixtures taking place in European competitions tonight...

Lazio are 1-0 up against Bodo/Glimt. That means it's now 2-1 to Bodo/Glimt on aggregate - but could the Italian side find a way to pull the tie back?

Chelsea will face the winner of Rapid Vienna's tie with Djurgarden in the semi-finals, but that game is far from certain at the moment.

Vienna are 2-1 up on aggregate as it's 1-1 in Austria at the moment.

  17. 'Man Utd are exposing the space'published at 21:00 British Summer Time 17 April

    Rene Meulensteen
Former Manchester United coach on BBC Radio 5 Live

Lyon want to press and Manchester United are exposing the space in-behind. United are not afraid to go direct. They needed another goal and that's massive for them.

It was important that Manchester United got a fast start and that they kept the crowd on side. They fully deserve the 2-0 lead.

    Simon Stone
BBC Sport's chief football news reporter at Old Trafford

Sir Jim Ratcliffe is being blamed by fans in front of the directors box, many of whom have been Manchester United season ticket holders for decades, who are being moved to make space for a new corporate area next season.

United may be winning but the disenchantment with the ownership remains.
