I really can see what Maresca was saying. We really are improving! Just watch this game and you will see. Creating lots of chances, lovely patterns of play, great football. Oh wait that's not happening at all. Awful awful football.

In comes Lucas Bergvall's in-swinger but it's cleared by Eintracht Frankfurt.

The hosts then look to break but the pass is overhit, much to the relief of Spurs.

What is Leny Yoro doing there?

There are games where you can try little flicks and skills, or moments in games when it is called for.

In front of your own goal, with a crucial game as delicately poised in your favour as this is not it.

Yoro should have cleared the cross, instead he gave Ainsley Maitland-Niles a chance he should have done better with.

    Oh. My. Word.

Brilliant feet by Rayan Cherki who is dancing through Manchester United's defence. He eventually goes for goal but Andre Onana is down to save.

A breathtaking run by Cherki, a fine save by Onana.

    Chelsea restore their advantage!

Jadon Sancho breaks into the Legia box after a jinking run down the right.

He then spots an opening to send a low delivery into the area and it's tapped home by Marc Cucurella.

Spurs do well to win the ball back high in the Eintracht Frankfurt half and Destiny Udogie wins a corner.

    Good stuff.

Poor defending from Leny Yoro. He could have cost his team. Yoro is not aware of his surroundings.

    What is Leny Yoro doing?

A cross into the United box and Yoro attempts a back-heel clearance but it falls straight to Ainsley Maitland-Niles who lifts it over the bar when he should have done better.

    Let-off for United.

  10. New singing section at Stamford Bridgepublished at 20:31 British Summer Time 17 April

Chelsea 0-1 Legia Warsaw (agg 3-1)

    Nizaar Kinsella
    BBC Sport football news reporter

Chelsea are trialling a new singing section for the second time tonight in the Conference League.

The small 150-fan contingent in the Shed End are very much doing their best to generate an atmosphere but the rest of the stadium look unimpressed with what is happening on the pitch.

They are also up against one of the loudest away ends I've ever seen in hundreds of matches at Stamford Bridge, which is credit to those fervent Legia Warsaw fans.

Arthur Theate whips in a dangerous cross towards the back post and Destiny Udogie doesn't get the best of headers on it.

Spurs had to stand firm there as the hosts upped the pressure but stand firm they did.

    Where was everybody?

Marc Cucurella goes down the left and sends the ball into the middle, but there aren't any Chelsea team-mates there to take advantage.

It's not the cleanest as Legia try to clear, but they eventually manage to.

A really upbeat and positive half an hour for Manchester United.

But is anyone else thinking: why couldn't they play like this more times this season?

It's good play from Mathys Tel, it's a good position he's found himself in.

It's a fabulous shot and good save from Kaua Santos again.

    Better from Spurs.

Boos and whistles all around the stadium as Spurs enjoy a bit of possession.

Ange Postecoglou must be pretty satisfied with what he's seen from his side so far.

That would of been a contender for goal of the season in the Europa League.

Alejandro Garnacho had one thought. Credit to Rasmus Hojlund his run takes away two of the Lyon defenders.

Alejandro Garnacho already has an assist - and now he wants a goal.

He's driving at the Lyon defence before his shot is blocked and from the resulting corner Harry Maguire goes close.

Four attempts, two on target, one goal.

Chelsea are pushing to try and find an equaliser. They've still got a two-goal aggregate cushion but they'll want more.

Legia are sitting back now, though, when Chelsea try to move up the pitch.

The number of bodies on the edge of the area forces Reece James to strike from range, but his effort is blocked.
