Match Facts
Barnsley have won each of their last three league games against Port Vale, last enjoying a longer winning streak against the Valiants between 1904 and 1906 (six victories).
This will be Port Vale’s first away league game against Barnsley since August 2023 when they were defeated 7-0 at Oakwell, it’s the only time since a 7-0 defeat to Burnley in November 1983 that they’ve conceded 7+ goals in an EFL match.
Barnsley are looking to record three consecutive home league wins for the first time since winning nine on the trot between January and April 2023.
Port Vale have won their last two League One matches, as many as they’d recorded in their previous 30 games at this level combined (D8 L20). The Valiants are looking for three wins in a row in the third tier for the first time since September 2023, a run of four.
