Karl Darlow needs to have a word with Chris Mepham, he reacted so slowly to the ball that gets played, he really doesn't do enough to stop that shot.

I'm not sure why Neco Williams tried that, he had good options to pass either side of him.

  3. CLOSE!published at 83 mins

    Kazakhstan 0-1 Wales

Islam Chesnokov takes the ball on his chest and as the ball sits up, lashes a left-footed volley at goal that dips just over Karl Darlow's goal.

Silly from Neco Williams to gift Kazakhstan a chance to break.

    Kazakhstan 0-1 Wales

Neco Williams spots the goalkeeper off his line and attempts a shot from Narnia, but it ends up just being a nice backpass really, as the hosts sense a chance to break....

  5. Postpublished at 81 mins

    Kazakhstan 0-1 Wales

Harry Wilson touches it to Neco Williams and his shot is blocked, with Jordan James' better effort on the rebound held by the goalkeeper. A bit of a waste really.

    Kazakhstan 0-1 Wales

David Brooks wins a freekick and this one is in prime Harry Wilson territory.

Sergei Malyy is booked for the challenge.

Former Wales defender on BBC Radio Wales

This is getting a little bit nervy for me, Wales need a second goal.

Hopefully Jordan James coming on can bring a little bit of certainty in midfield.

That move all started with Dylan Lawlor's pass, if Harry Wilson kept that shot low you'd think it's 2-0.

Given the form Harry Wilson is in for Wales, you are just waiting for that to hit the back of the net.

It's just a little bit too central.

  10. CLOSE!published at 78 mins

    Kazakhstan 0-1 Wales

Harry Wilson takes Mark Harris' lovely flick in his stride and blasts at goal from 20 yards, but Temirlan Anarbekov saves, tipping the ball behind for a corner.

    Kazakhstan 0-1 Wales

David Brooks is arguably one of the most in-form players in the Premier League, I'm surprised he didn't start this one to be honest.

  12. SUBSTITUTIONSpublished at 76 mins

    Kazakhstan 0-1 Wales

More changes for Wales as Jordan James and David Brooks replace Liam Cullen and Sorba Thomas.

He is alert there, Karl Darlow. Yes he has to cover his near post but it is hit with plenty of power.

Again Wales struggle to build out from the back and when Kazakhstan have pressed high, they have more often than not won it back.

  14. CLOSE!published at 74 mins

    Kazakhstan 0-1 Wales

Maxim Samordov gets time and space in the penalty area to shoot after the hosts press Wales high, but Samordov opts to shoot (with power) at Karl Darlow's near post and he saves smartly.

He had to go across Darlow then, was never beating the Leeds man at his near post.

    Kazakhstan 0-1 Wales

Going early, but 'he got man of the match on his Wales debut when he was only 19' is written all over this/Dylan Lawlor.

Wales will be so grateful for Dylan Lawlor's positioning there.

If he doesn't make that block, it's a certain goal.

  17. Postpublished at 71 mins

    Kazakhstan 0-1 Wales

Islam Chesnokov and Bagdat Kairov combine and Wales need a brilliant interception from Dylan Lawlor.

What a game the youngster is having.

How on earth has that been given against Harry Wilson? The keeper has literally just run into Harry Wilson, I don't think it's a foul either way, but I can't believe that's gone against him.

You have to think if that pass was on real grass that the ball might've fallen to Harry Wilson.

  19. Postpublished at 68 mins

    Kazakhstan 0-1 Wales

Goalkeeper Temirlan Anarbekov gets out quickly to deny Harry Wilson as the pair collide and both need treatment.

The 21-year old goalkeeper has played really well.

Wilson is ok, the goalkeeper looks more shaken than the Wales winger.

This is a battle. It's no surprise to see Dan James and Mark Harris coming on.

It's been a frustrating performance from Wales in the last 20 minutes or so. They are trying to do it individually, when what was so good in the first half hour was how they played collectively.
