Ukraine will be looking to bounce from a 3-0 defeat against Romania in their opening group-stage match and have made a big call by dropping their goalkeeper Andriy Lunin.

Three other changes to the side include former West Ham striker Andriy Yarmolenko coming into the side.

Slovakia head coach Francesco Calzona has reminded his players they have "achieved nothing yet" after the "euphoria" of beating Group E favourites Belgium in their opening Euro 2024 match.

"We had a bit of euphoria for a few short hours, but we haven't achieved anything yet," said Calzona.

"We've only secured three points and three points aren't enough to make it through to the knockout stage.

"There's not too much to celebrate in terms of that win over Belgium because we still have our objective in front of us, which is to make it through the group."

Slovakia know only too well how quickly things can change having begun Euro 2020 with victory over Poland before being knocked out of the tournament with losses to Sweden and Spain.

Ukraine goalkeeper Andriy Lunin has been dropped from the starting XI after a couple of errors led to two of Romania's goals on Monday.

Lunin won the Champions League with Real Madrid this season but struggled against Romania on Monday and said “my first mistake changed the match - I’d like to say sorry”.

Benfica keeper Anatoliy Trubin replaces him in goal.

After their disappointing 3-0 defeat by Romania in Munich, Ukraine's players asked head coach Serhiy Rebrov and the staff to leave the dressing room so they could discuss the loss between themselves.

"Maybe in Germany this is not normal, but in our country this is absolutely normal, where guys talk among themselves and ask questions about what happened," Rebrov said.

Defender Oleksandr Zinchenko said his side must learn from their mistakes and look ahead to a tough game against Slovakia.

"I really, really hope, and I'm totally convinced, that everyone learned lessons from what happened, both individually and team-wise," he said.

"We want to turn the page and concentrate 100% on the Slovakia game.

"We understand that in every part of the pitch there will be a battle going on, and whoever comes out on top in every part of the pitch will be victorious."

Not the Group E you might expect to see at this stage with Romania topping the table after that 3-0 win over Ukraine.

Group favourites Belgium's 1-0 loss to Slovakia leaves them third and they will face Romania on Saturday (20:00 BST).

Slovakia will qualify for the knockout phase if they win today, but they cannot win the group until the final group match, where they face Romania.

Ukraine will not be knocked out if they lose today, but if they do lose and Romania avoid defeat by Belgium on Saturday their only hope of progression would be as one of the best third-place finishers.

I loved being in Cologne for Slovakia’s victory over Belgium, to see the fans inside the stadium during the game and the celebrations afterwards.

I am a big fan of Stanislav Lobotka, the little enforcer in the middle of the park. Apart from him they are a team of giants but what really stands out is how well organised they are.

According to the world rankings it was the biggest shock in Euros history, but Belgium should not be at number three on that showing. They need to have a good look at themselves.

I wondered if Slovakia could maintain their focus for 90 minutes but, in fairness, they did.

This is a different kind of test for them, because Ukraine need something after being well beaten in what I thought would be a tight affair against Romania. They really need to win this, but I don't see that happening.

It's day eight at the European Championships and already I can't remember what life was like before there were three international football matches on every day.

We're kicking things off in Dusseldorf in Group E where Slovakia take on Ukraine with a place in the knockout stages on the line.

Slovakia stunned group favourites Belgium last time out while Ukraine were beaten by Romania. Should be a cracker!
